Artist statement
I am a visual artist and scientist, guided by curiosity and a passion for storytelling. My work begins with the language of visual art — composition, shape, color, and light — to create images that are both aesthetically striking and emotionally resonant. Into this foundation, I weave the language of science: numbers, equations, graphs, and diagrams. Purposefully and thoughtfully used, these elements enrich the work with layers of meaning and knowledge, inviting the viewer to look closer and discover more.
My SciArt is not illustration, but visual art infused with depth. At first glance, it reveals itself as form and expression; with deeper engagement, the embedded scientific language emerges — not as ornament, but as carefully curated knowledge chosen for its direct relevance to the motif, amplifying the story being told. This symbiosis of art and science creates harmony, sparks curiosity, and draws the audience into an unfolding dialogue between imagination and understanding.
Ultimately, I seek to illuminate the complexity and beauty of the world. By merging creativity with knowledge, I hope to awaken a sense of wonder, inspire exploration, and nurture the joy of discovery that fuels our shared fascination with better understanding the world we live in.
