Science career

As an astrophysicist Soren worked to better understand the physics of stars and how they evolve and change over their lifetime. He worked as an observational astronomer and made observations with telescopes from Earth and from space of individual stars and clusters of stars, and worked with NASA to search for new planets orbiting stars in our Milky Way galaxy.
